Let's talk about Currents.is
Currents is a Pinterest alternative. OK? But what exactly does that mean?

Hey everyone, I've been on currents.is for a few days now. It's an ATproto-based alternative to Pinterest. As a complete newcomer to the world of social media, this initially raised a few questions for me. What I immediately liked was that Pinterest, or rather Currents, is based on communication through images. Isn't that the core competency of Lomography? Communication through images! No question! So, this had to be interesting. But what exactly do you do on Currents? Well, post photos and a few other things? - No. That's about it. It sounds too simple to be of any use, but it is. After a while, I understood everything and was sure that it's a great way to spread Lomography within the ATproto community. The crucial factor is the source from which we post the Lomos. If it's going to be effective, we post Lomos from where the Lomographers have their base. That could be their LomoHome or their Bluesky account. Of course, it could also be Instagram or any other source, like a blog. The great thing about Currents is how incredibly fast it is to share images from anywhere on the web. If we use this opportunity to post Lomographs from all over the internet on Currents, we can do what we as Lomographers are practically obligated to do – bring our art to the world. Intrigued? Then sign up for Currents with your ATproto account and flood the world with Lomos! It's exciting!
